March Wellness Theme - Balanced Nutrition

The Palliser Wellness Committee is supporting schools across the district with a focus on nutrition this month and how it contributes to our wellbeing.  Included below are some resources provided by Alberta Health Services to be used at home as a personal challenge to explore for the month.  The goal is try get you thinking about new foods, discuss which foods are great sometimes and which ones you should eat more frequently.  

Additionally, as the Food Studies teacher, I'll be providing a 4 video/Meet series this month of Dorm Room Meals, meals that can be easily prepared with simple equipment and easy ingredients that you can make anywhere.  Stay tuned for more info and/or meeting links and a forum to share favourite recipes!  Here is this week's recipe for Crockpot Chicken Noodle.

I have to admit that when I enrolled last September, I had thought the journey to today, would have been much more difficult and arduous than turned out to be the case.
