Dear Parents/Guardians and students:

Palliser Regional Schools is pleased to present the 3rd annual Student Leadership Conference called  Discover U - Find the Strength in Us.  Palliser’s 450 grade 7-12 students will embark on a unique learning experience, where they will:

  • EXPLORE who they are as leaders,
  • CREATE an action project to implement at their school as part of a leadership credit course, and
  • ACHIEVE their goals to create lasting change and make an impact.

Our keynote speaker for the event will be Phil Boyte this year and he is a fantastic motivational speaker.  Here is a link to his website if you would like to check out what Phil is about:  www.learningforliving.com

Following the keynote address, student participants will have an opportunity to attend breakout sessions, many led by their peers, to encourage and inspire their own creativity and leadership. Time will be provided for students to work in school groups to develop their own school-based projects.

The date for the event is: November 9, 2016. Leave: Approximately 8:45 am  Return:   Approximately 3pm

The venue is: The University of Lethbridge. 4401 University Drive, Lethbridge, Alberta

Having the opportunity to learn at my own pace was something that really helped me and other students get through high school. Being an independent student and having access to all of my assignments was a big help. I found myself accomplishing things I never thought possible.
