Parents are invited to complete parent survey - email coming your way

Dear Parents/Guardians,

You will be receiving a letter by email because your child is registered at Palliser Beyond Borders and/or at one of our Outreaches in Calgary, Vulcan, Picture Butte or Coaldale.  Parents are invited to share their thoughts about learning at Palliser Beyond Borders in a survey linked in the email. This is an anonymous survey and is offered to parents, students, staff. You are asked to respond once, before May 10th.

Several years ago Palliser Regional School Division introduced a process for reviewing its schools and since 2005-06 a review team has visited all schools in Palliser in order to assist the school’s staff and administration with school planning. Palliser Beyond Borders and its Outreaches have been part of a review this winter.

Specifically, the purpose of a school review is to:

  1. gather data to celebrate the good things being done at Pallier Beyond Borders and its Outreaches,
  2. inform the schools’ staff, students and parents about areas of need which might be addressed in future plans,
  3. begin a collaborative effort between stakeholders so that the best plan possible evolves.

This survey is the last step in the process. If parents require translation please be in touch with lola.mix@pallisersd.ab.ca to arrange for a time to meet with an interpreter.

Please complete by May 10th.

If you do not receive the survey by May 1 please let me know. .

I have to tell you how impressed he was with how quickly his teachers responded to his questions. The technology worked great and he valued the opportunity to experience online learning. He did say he missed working with his friends, but he now knows he can learn online successfully. Yesterday, we finally received his Grade 10 schedule, and thanks to his completion of CALM, he can access one of the electives he really wanted. His schedule had additional flexibility thanks to Palliser Beyond Borders! Thank you all for your efforts. When I showed my son what his schedule could look like, he was genuinely excited about the coming year.
