Parents as Learning Partners

We partner with parents for student success

We will use a gradual release of responsibility model to build student skill capacity over time and through grades. Expect your child will move through these behaviours in a progression. They may begin at the top and progress through these behaviours as the year progresses. Progression is encouraged as the student demonstrates independence and understanding of the behaviours required. 

Student skills will transition from “learning to use technology” to “using technology for learning” and developing competence with technology

Parent orientations will be offered to ensure parents understand the program, approach, content.

Online learning has instilled in him a sense of personal responsibility for his own education. He has also responded well to the project based learning approach taken by his teacher instead of the standard worksheets and activities.
