Palliser's Effectiveness Model

Palliser Regional Schools has adopted a graphic representation of our school system and schools, showing the deep alignment between what is expected of students, teachers, principals and superintendent within the vision and framework created by our Board of Trustees.

The graphic incorporates the language of Inspiring Education, the provincial Ministerial Order on Student Learning and the Teaching Quality Standard, the professional expectations of teachers. It incorporates Effective Schools research which identifies characteristics of effective schools. That research is also ingrained in Palliser's school review process. It reflects key areas of responsibility as outlined in Board Policy 12, Role of the Superintendent/CEO. The outermost ring is the Board of Trustees, an elected body that establishes the guiding vision and policies for the division, and maintains accountability processes.

By bringing key documents, values and expectations for various parties together, we see how intertwined our goals and objectives are, as all support our students and their learning and development.

I have witnessed countless times how Alison responds accordingly to the needs of students. Her exceptional emotional intelligence and ability to guide students in a humble and authentic manner sets her apart from other educators and helps students reach their full potential.
