Introduction

Our goal is to serve Palliser high schools who require additional credit courses not offered by your local school:

  • provide access to online learning materials and instruction to support students across the Palliser School Division
  • develop a vibrant online learning community for Palliser students which supports academic success

Our Beliefs: At Palliser Regional Schools we believe in learning success for all students as they develop their unique potential as caring citizens in a changing world. Our online initiative supports this mission by expanding learning choices and personalization for Palliser students and give students access to their learning on a 24/7 basis.

Our vision for Palliser's online school is a centre of online learning and teaching excellence. It will provide outstanding opportunities for Alberta students and will grow to serve ever larger communities across Canada and internationally. Students will engage online in their learning both asynchronously and synchronously with their peers and teachers and demonstrate a deep understanding of Alberta curriculum and global digital citizenship. Students, if they choose, can complete an Alberta diploma fully online.

Learn about the difference between home education and online school.

The purpose Palliser Beyond Borders is:

  • serve Palliser students by supplementing courses available at their existing high schools.
  • provide access to online learning materials and instruction to support high school students across the division
  • develop a vibrant online learning community for Palliser students which supports academic success
  • differentiate with online instruction and provide flexible learning opportunities tailored to the individual student's needs

Palliser Beyond Borders Three Year Annual Education Plan

A new strategy that I learned and want to use is to strive to improve and to act on the feedback that is given to me to help me improve my learning.
