November 2020 Reports are now released

Dear parents and students:

For 1-9 Live online students:

  • You will receive your progress report from your classroom teacher with the following cover letter from the principal
  • Principal's cover letter

High School students:

  • your reports are posted on the PowerSchool portal. please read the bulletin's posted in the portal.
  • Concurrent students will receive reports for courses taken with Palliser Beyond Borders  at their primary High School from their own schools. 
  • Instructions for using PowerSchool for new users are here.
  • School calendar for the year is available on our website with professional learning dates, (where teacher are not available), winter and spring break dates.
  • quarterly and semester system due dates
  • Please see the principal's cover letter
  • Our focus is to help students achieve success in their courses. If students require detailed information about their course progress they can find assignment grades in their Moodle courses: under grade in the administration block, on the left hand side of the course. Students and parents are also welcome to book a meeting with teachers to review student coursework. See: http://www.palliserbeyondborders.com/eteachers. Parents: I encourage you to ask your student to show them their online work. 
  • If something seems amiss please do let us know so we can make the necessary corrections.
  • Your learning is important to us at Palliser Beyond Borders. If in the future you wish to apply to  re-register in the course with our school or another Alberta school you can. If you have partial completion of learning materials in the course we can review those lessons completed and consider them so you don’t have to redo parts of the course. This will be up to your teacher to decide on the best course of action. If you are registering at another school other than ours, please have your teacher contact us for information and copies of our grade book.

I have to tell you how impressed he was with how quickly his teachers responded to his questions. The technology worked great and he valued the opportunity to experience online learning. He did say he missed working with his friends, but he now knows he can learn online successfully. Yesterday, we finally received his Grade 10 schedule, and thanks to his completion of CALM, he can access one of the electives he really wanted. His schedule had additional flexibility thanks to Palliser Beyond Borders! Thank you all for your efforts. When I showed my son what his schedule could look like, he was genuinely excited about the coming year.
